Location & Infrastructure

Mannheim is located in the heart of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, one of the strongest economic regions in Germany. This excellent location enables easy accessibility via a network of intermodal transport options.
The fast ICE connection takes you to Frankfurt International Airport in just 31 minutes and from there you can travel anywhere in the world. With more than 650 trains and around 110,000 passengers a day, Mannheim Central Station is the second largest railway junction in southwest Germany. Travel times to a number of major European cities are very short - you can be in Munich in just 2:58 hours or in Paris in 3:09 hours. Several federal motorways, including the 5, 6, 61, 650 and 659, run through or very close to Mannheim.
The Rhine port of Mannheim, the second largest inland port in Europe, is another strong argument for Mannheim as a business location. 500 companies providing 20,000 jobs are located in the port area alone. City Airport Mannheim offers direct flights to Berlin and Hamburg as well as to the island of Sylt in the summer months.
