Prof Dr Astrid Hedtke-Becker

Educationalist and gerontologist, she teaches the theory and practice of social work at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences, particularly group dynamics, moderation methods and management of large groups. She is the Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and past president of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gerontologie und Geriatrie DGGG e.V. and scientific project manager at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences for the EU funded project "Zukunft Alter-Verbundmaster: applied gerontology".  She is also involved in the Board of Trustees of the Association of Adult Education and Administrative Board of the Mannheim evening academy.
