Albert Geiger

Albert Geiger studied at the University of Public Management in Stuttgart.
Following his graduation in public management in 1982 he has been working for the City of Ludwigsburg.
In the following years, he coordinated a variety of urban development projects, for example the “Konversionsprojekt Rotbäumlesfeld”; formal US Barracks transformed to the residential area for 1200 Citizens.
Mr. Geiger also worked in the department of city planning in Ludwigsburg for 14 years.
Since 2000 he is responsible for the Department of Community Office Buildings for the City of Ludwigsburg.
The department is also closely linked to economic development, urban planning and the urban development concept of the Administrative Department / Strategic Management Support (www.ludwigsburg.de).
Since 2004, Albert Geiger has been involved in sustainable urban development, which is now also formulated by the federal government in the LeipzigCharta.
At the European level, he was in Ludwigsburg head of the Managing Urban Europe Project (www.mue25.net).
Since 2008, Mr. Geiger is additional head of the Department of Sustainable Urban Development.
