Sabine Drees

Sabine Drees is an economics graduate and responsible for the Department for "International Affairs" at the German Association of Cities and Towns (DST). She is head of the "international affairs" working group of the association of German cities and towns and provides support to the technical committee for communal development cooperation of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR). She also represents the CEMR in the European "Platforma" organisation, the European voice for communal development cooperation. Sabine Drees is deputy chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Engagement Global (EG) and a member of the advisory board and programme committee of the " Communities in One World service agency (SKEW)". In addition, Sabine Drees is managing director of the German delegation at the "Congress of European local and regional authorities" at the Council of Europe and represents the German Association of Cities and Towns (DST) on the "Connective Cities" steering committee.  Connective Cities is an international cooperation platform for sustainable urban development, which is carried out by the DST on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Engagement Global.
