Mannheim has achieved above-average results in many rankings - location factors in Mannheim are top

Mannheim has a great tradition as a business location but also great potential which should be exploited. There is good reason that Mannheim has almost always achieved above-average results in comparisons with other big cities in Germany in the last few years.

In the city ranking of the Wirtschaftswoche, which was published in September 2008, Mannheim wins an excellent 7th place among a total of 50 big cities in Germany which were analysed. Compared to the result in 2007, the business location Mannheim climbed up by a whole 6 places and now counts among the top 10 in Germany. Currently about 1.2 billion euros are being invested at the business location Mannheim, within one year 3,300 new jobs have been created and the unemployment rate has reached its lowest level since 1992.
